About Sophie Goineau

Sophie Goineau’s design journey is rooted in a multidisciplinary background that spans business, fashion, and architecture.

She began her career in Montreal, working in the family construction business before moving into styling, product development, and early creative projects of her own. Sophie later co-founded a design studio focused on hospitality and custom furniture, where she helped launch a furniture collection and led high-end residential and commercial interiors. 

Sophie's path eventually led to collaborations with notable architectural firms, refining an approach that merges intuitive precision with architectural clarity.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Sophie founded her own studio—beginning with a hotel, then a restaurant—before expanding into residential and commercial projects across California. Her portfolio includes work in Beverly Hills, Malibu, West Hollywood, Calabasas, the Palisades, Northern California, and Palm Desert.

Sophie Goineau's practice reflects a layered evolution: interiors shaped by rigor, material sensitivity, and a deeply intuitive sense of flow and proportion.

Le parcours de Sophie Goineau s’ancre dans un univers multidisciplinaire allant des affaires à la mode, en passant par le design et l’architecture.

Elle a débuté sa carrière à Montréal au sein de l’entreprise familiale de construction, avant de s’orienter vers le stylisme, le développement de produits et ses premiers projets créatifs personnels. Par la suite, Sophie cofonde un studio de design dédié à l’hôtellerie et au mobilier sur mesure, où elle développe une collection de meubles et dirige des projets résidentiels et commerciaux haut de gamme. 

Sophie collabore ensuite avec des agences d’architecture renommées, affinant une approche qui mêle précision intuitive et clarté architecturale.

Installée à Los Angeles, Sophie Goineau fonde son propre studio en commençant par un hôtel, puis un restaurant, avant de s’étendre à des projets résidentiels et commerciaux à travers toute la Californie : Beverly Hills, Malibu, West Hollywood, Calabasas, les Palisades, le nord de la Californie, et Palm Desert. 

Son approche traduit une évolution stratifiée, où les intérieurs se forment à travers la rigueur, la sensibilité des matériaux et une intuition spatiale affirmée.
