Renowned interior designer and creative director Sophie Goineau helmed a complete restoration of this 1895-built home, rebirthing a historical landmark at a coveted address into a contemporary two-level for a refined, world-traveling owner.
Goineau’s design vision features an eclectic and whimsical aesthetic, befitting the client’s rock-star personality and large collection of art. “She bought the home in 2014, to have a pied-à-terre that can serve as a retreat,” says Goineau of her client. The home was completely reconstructed, Goineau reports, from the roof to the exterior stonework, and inside, walls and moldings were restored to their original glory.
